EU Horizon
Projects
We've worked on over 30 EU-funded projects. We know the frameworks, the process, the tech, and how to deliver a successful project.
Proven experience. Trusted delivery.
At Blue Lobster, EU-funded research isn’t an occasional project - it’s part of our ongoing work. Over the past 15 years, we’ve worked on more than 30 European Commission projects, including Framework 7, Horizon 2020, and Horizon Europe initiatives. We understand the language, structure, and expectations, and we know how to deliver data, digital solutions, and communications strategies that hold up to scrutiny.
Our role in these projects typically spans full delivery: from designing complex data platforms and digital twins to building public-facing portals, collaborative tools, content management systems, and communication, dissemination and exploitation strategies. We often lead technical and communication work packages and collaborate closely with Project Coordinators, research institutions, and domain experts across Europe.
What we bring to Horizon projects

Deep domain understanding
We’ve supported projects in oceanography, climate resilience, biodiversity, health, circular economy and more. This experience helps us quickly grasp scientific goals and translate them into practical, user-friendly digital tools.

Flexible, interdisciplinary teams
Our developers, designers, and analysts work closely with communication leads, scientists, and policy experts. We understand stakeholder engagement, multi-language access, and the importance of clarity in complex fields.

Technical leadership
We’re often asked to scope and lead digital work packages, offering expertise in software architecture, data modelling, system integration, and interoperability - particularly with EOSC, Copernicus, EDITO, EMODnet and other European data infrastructures.

High-quality outputs
Our tools are built to last - robust, maintainable, and well-documented. From partner dashboards to interactive datasets, we focus on usability, accessibility, and long-term sustainability.
